Pulaski County Courthouse
Re-Roof
In 2006, we assisted Pulaski County in ascertaining the source of water leaks at the 1880's courthouse. Upon determining that the existing faux-slate tile roof was failing due to over-nailing of the tiles (installed in mid 1990's), we further assisted in obtaining a grant for the re-roof and ultimately completed bidding documents and helping through construction.
To ensure that the roof was done correctly, we researched and recruited a nationally known roofing contractor that had experience with slate roofs on steep and complicated roofs. Knowing the proper slates to specify, the underlayment, compatible flashings and install techniques were all critical. The roof continues to perform well while still looking great!
