Easily one of the most ornate of the courthouses in Arkansas, copper details on the dome were matched with exact precision.

The finial was replaced with new 20 oz. copper sphere and trim. 16 oz. copper field panels were corregated in a manner to match original 1912 panels, using an identical steam-driven machine.

Mississippi County Courthouse
Dome Replacement

Osceola, Arkansas

Completed originally in 1912, this is one of two county courthouses in Mississippi County, located in northeast Arkansas.  Arguably one of the most beautiful and ornate, the courthouse in Osceola occupies the center of the historic downtown square in this town on the Mississippi River, known for its rich history of musical legends that were born and raised here.

After careful study and evaluation, and years of maintenance and repeated "repair" projects, it was determined the copper cladding of the dome required full replacement.  This project involved replacement of the dome with exact replication of architectural details.  It also entailed terra cotta repair and restoration.  It was completed in 2021 by Renaissance Roofing, Inc.
